Technical Assistance to the Government for improving cooperation with civil society in Montenegro

WYG Consulting signed a contract to provide technical assistance to the Montenegrin government for improving cooperation with civil society. The duration of this contract is set for 24 months. The objective is to strengthen participatory democracy and empower civil society by stimulating and enabling the legal, institutional, and financial environment for its development. As a result of the project, the new law on non-governmental organizations is expected to be implemented more effectively. Additionally, the platform for cooperation between public administration and non-governmental organizations will be fully functional and operational. The Ministry of Public Administration's capacity to implement, monitor, and evaluate the 2022-2026 Strategy of cooperation between government bodies and NGOs will be strengthened. Consequently, plans include establishing a monitoring and evaluation system for CSO projects funded by the State budget and creating an Action Plan for the Ministry of Public Administration to facilitate CSOs' access to EU funds.
