The main objective of this strategic project is to build a core component of the national e-infrastructure; this has been recognized as an important prerequisite for the development of the Croatian research and higher education area. In addition to serving as shared infrastructure for the needs of modern science, education, and internationally relevant research, e-infrastructure also serves as an instrument of integration into the European Research Area (ERA) and the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). Project components: GRID, HPC, CLOUD systems, storage resources, high-speed backbone for the National Academic and Research Network, team of specialists. The project includes investment into the renovation and refurbishment of five sites (data centres) and the procurement of computing, storage, and network resources.
WYG led a team, in this World Bank project, for preparation of the feasibility study with cost benefit analysis as well as developing and submitting project application for ERDF financing.
