WYG Consulting has been awarded a significant project under the FWC SEA 2023 framework, Lot 4 Sustainable Transport, Infrastructures, Green Cities, Connectivity: “Northern Corridor Infrastructure Masterplan Update, Analytical Comparative Cost Study, and Projects Investment Prospectus for Two Priority Projects.” This project, implemented in collaboration with our consortium partner, NTU Consortium, will be carried out over 24 months in Kenya and will also consider the impact on neighboring countries, including Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Rwanda, South Sudan, and Uganda.
The Northern Corridor is a crucial multimodal transport network linking the Great Lakes Region to the Port of Mombasa. Through strategic assessments, cost evaluations, and investment planning, this initiative aims to improve trade facilitation, economic growth, and regional integration. The project will focus on enhancing infrastructure, reducing logistics costs, and identifying key investment opportunities to improve overall corridor efficiency and sustainability.
