The project “Development and implementation of a competency framework and training in strategic planning, regulatory impact assessment, evaluation and public consultation” implemented in Croatia from August 2024 to December 2025, highlights WYG’s role in strengthening public administration systems and improving policy-making processes.
The assignment focused on building a more structured and professional approach to strategic planning and regulatory management, in line with the European Commission’s Better Regulation principles. A central element of the work was the development of a comprehensive competency framework, defining roles and required skills across national and local administrations.
Building on this, WYG designed and delivered a set of specialised training modules, supporting large-scale capacity development of civil servants involved in policy planning, impact assessment, and consultation processes. The project contributed to establishing sustainable institutional foundations for improved decision-making, more coherent policy development, and stronger administrative performance over the long term.
