The assignment supports Ukraine in aligning its maritime sector with EU requirements by strengthening the regulatory and institutional framework, particularly in the areas of maritime safety, environmental protection, and sector governance. WYG delivers a comprehensive package including gap analysis of national legislation, preparation of a transposition plan, and development of an implementation roadmap with clear sequencing of reforms.
The project also includes regulatory impact assessment and drafting of legislative amendments, supported by stakeholder consultations and institutional capacity assessment. The outputs—legislative proposals, roadmap, and technical analyses—provide a solid basis for effective implementation of the EU maritime acquis and support Ukraine’s progress towards EU accession.
