WYG Consulting has commenced the 30-month project, “Support of Quality Assurance System for Social Services”, which began in January. The project is funded by the European Union Delegation in North Macedonia and is implemented under the 2022 IPA Action Programme: “EU for Improved Health and Gender Equality and Social Protection”. The project aims to strengthen the quality assurance framework for social services and promote access to high-quality, inclusive social care across North Macedonia. The Ministry of Labour and Social Policy is the main beneficiary, alongside key stakeholders such as the Institute for Social Activities, Social Work Centres, Local Self-Government Units, public and private social service providers, service users, and the Ombudsman.
This initiative directly supports reforms and policies that enhance equal access to social services and employment opportunities for both men and women. To achieve this, the project is structured into three main components:
Component 1: Strengthening the Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) system and developing a performance framework for measuring the quality of social services.
Component 2: Enhancing the capacities of Social Work Centres, Local Self-Government Units, and social service providers to effectively carry out M&E functions.
Component 3: Improving the supervision and inspection roles of the MLSP and ISA to ensure high standards of service provision.
This initiative reflects WYG Consulting’s commitment to supporting sustainable reforms that improve the social protection system and promote equal opportunities for all citizens in North Macedonia.
